Software on Iran-Iraq war released

TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (MNA) -- Iran’s Namayeh Cultural and Information Institute released software containing information on the Iran-Iraq war (1980-88), which known as the Sacred Defense in Iran.

Entitled “War Treasure”, the software project was unveiled during a ceremony at Iran’s Public Culture Council on Sunday.

It also includes biographies, testamonies and some audio and visual files belonging to war commanders. It also contains documents from 3,000 martyrs from different provinces, the head of the institute Mohammad Reza Akhzarian Kashani mentioned at the ceremony.

“Although the complete version of the software will be released along with 40 other projects in the near future,” Kashani added.

Iran’s atlas software on 40 DVDs, management software on 12 DVDs and “Epic of Olive” which is about the resistance of people in Gaza and Palestine against the Zionist regime will be unveiled in the near future, he added.

He went on to say that the institute would also release software entitled “Press Treasury” that contains five million articles from a number of newspapers that have been published since 1979.
