The appointment of the fourth female member of cabinet in Iran
TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) --Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed Farahnaz Torkestani on Monday as the head of the National Youth Organization, replacing Mehrdad Bazrpash who had held the post since July 2009.
Torkestani is the fourth female member of the President Ahmadinejad’s cabinet.
She was previously deputy health minister for students’ affairs.
Reportedly, the president ordered the removal of Bazrpash due to some recent disagreements with him.
