Saudi flag raised in Olympic Village
Riyadh, August 09, SPA -- The Saudi flag was raised today in the
Olympic Village in Beijing, China. The flag-raising ceremony was attended by Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Vice President General of Youth Welfare, the Vice President of Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, the Head of Saudi Mission to the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing, and the Mayor of the Olympic Village.
In a statement following the ceremony, Prince Nawaf confirmed that
the Kingdom's mission will give a good image of the Saudi people and
the noble message of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at all levels.
I am very optimistic that Saudi athletes will come up to our
ambitions, Prince Nawaf said.
