Afghan first VP to travel to Tehran soon
TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) -- Afghan First Vice President Mohammad Qasim Fahim is scheduled to travel to Iran in the next few days, Tehran’s ambassador to Kabul Fada Hossein Maleki said on Tuesday.
A high-ranking delegation including cabinet ministers will be accompanying Fahim during the two-day trip to Tehran, Maleki told .
He added that Fahim’s visit will take place upon an invitation extended by Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi.
The visit is aimed at expanding political and economic ties between the two countries and discussing regional and international issues, he noted.
Fahim is also scheduled to meet with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani.
