TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) -- In a message on Tuesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his reelection as Belarusian president.
Ahmadinejad expressed hope for stronger ties between Tehran and Minsk as well as cooperation at international level.
Belarus’s President Alexander Lukashenko won Sunday's polls outright with 79.6 percent of the vote on the back of a massive turnout of over 90 percent, the central election commission said.
