Iran`s Deputy Health Minister requests Ahmadinejad to name another as youth organization chief
TEHRAN, Dec. 23 (MNA) -- Just two days after taking over as the new director of the National Youth Organization (NYO) Farahnaz Torkestani requested President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to appoint someone else to the post.
In a letter to the president on Wednesday, Torkestani cited her poor physical condition and family duties as the reasons for making such a request.
On Monday the president appointed Torkestani as the head of the National Youth Organization, replacing Mehrdad Bazrpash who had held the post since July 2009.
She had previously served as deputy health minister for students’ affairs.
