Iranian Minister says Iran ready to help strengthen Afghanistan’s army

TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (MNA) -- Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi met with Afgahn Vice President Muhammad Qasim Fahim on Sunday and announced Iran’s readiness to share its experiences with Afghanistan to help the neighboring country strengthen its army.

Vahidi also described Tehran-Kabul relations as “strategic”.

Fahim thanked Iran for its support to the Afghan nation and government and called for increased cooperation, particularly in the area of defense.

He also highlighted Iran’s role in promoting security in Afghanistan as well as the region.
