Terrorism, foreign interference two sides of the same coin: Larijani tells Somali speaker
TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (MNA) -- Terrorism and foreign interference are two sides of the same coin,Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani stated in a meeting with his Somali counterpart Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden whose country has been the scene of civil war, terrorism, and interference by foreign countries in recent years.
Larijani told Aden that arrogant powers “do not wish that Islamic countries live independently and are seeking to create political, economic, and security crises there through hatching plots and interfering (in their affairs).”
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran will support any effort to remove the historical oppression on Africans which is the result of “colonialists’ policies and foreign interference”.
Iran will also support any move to help Somali grow economically, Larijani said.
Aden, for his part, described his visit to Iran as an opportunity to find ways out of the problems and the difficult condition that his country is facing.
