Iran`s Sharif University to launch database of Iranian industrial films
TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA) -- The Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR) branch of Iran`s Sharif University of Technology will launch the first ever Iranian industrial film database.
The database will be launched with the support of the permanent secretariat of Iran’s Jahesh International Industrial Film Festival, the director of the ACECR branch of the Sharif University Seyyed Mohammd Tabatabie told .
Due to its abilities and experience in various scientific and industrial areas, the ACECR branch of the Sharif University will also establish a permanent secretariat for the festival, he added.
“The database aims to collect and concentrate on films with industrial themes for Iranian industrial society,” he said.
He went on to say that the database has collected 600 industrial films up to now and plans to present an analytical report on industrial films in Iran.
The first edition of the Jahesh International Industrial Film Festival will be held from January 8 to 12, 2011 with the motto of “Cinema, Industry, and Movement”.
