Zionist regime spy, MKO member hanged in Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA)-- The office of Tehran prosecutor announced that one Zionist regime’s spy and one member of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization were hanged at Tehran’s Evin prison early on Sunday morning.

Ali Akbar Siadat who was convicted of spying for Israel had gathered information about Iran’s military capabilities and provided the Israeli intelligence agents with this information.

According to the announcement, Siadat had received 60,000 dollars to give classified information to the Zionist regime.

He had transferred information on missile capabilities of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Iran’s military bases, military exercises, fighter jets, and the causes of Iranian plane accidents.

Member of the MKO Ali Saremi was also convicted of moharebeh (enmity against God) and launching propaganda campaign against the Islamic system.

According to the announcement, Saremi had been arrested several times since 1982 for carrying out counterrevolutionary actions and having connection with the MKO.

The MKO, listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community, began a campaign of assassinations and bombings in Iran shortly after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The group moved to Iraq in the early 1980s and fought Iran from there until the United States invaded the country in March 2003.
