Tehran’s Art Bureau hosting exhibit on posters and articles

TEHRAN, Dec. 30 (MNA) -- An exhibition of posters and articles entitled “Aivar” was inaugurated at Tehran’s Art Bureau on December 28 in the presence of a group of officials and artists.

Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) Director Hojjatoleslam Mehdi Khamushi, Art Bureau director Mohsen Momeni and organizer of the exhibit Mohammad-Taqi Zahedi visited the show on its opening day.

The collection is from research by the Hanif group and contains three sections; articles, conceptual posters and a selection of photos, Zahedi said, adding that the exhibit will later go on show in most universities across the country.

IIDO director Khamushi talked about boosting the economy of Iranian visual arts and said that the Art Bureau (which is affiliated with the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization) intends to discover high quality works and then support them.

“We are planning to boost the economy of Iranian and Islamic art. The bureau has been active in other fields of books, animation and cinema. Publication of the bestselling Iranian novels “Da” and “Baba Nazar”, and Iranian animation of the Persian proverbs “Shekarestan” are among the Bureau’s credits,” he said.

The bureau also purchased several artworks and also aims to support educational programs to help develop talented artists, he added.
