Iranian thespians to attend Indian festival
TEHRAN, Jan.1 (MNA) -- Acclaimed Iranian stage director Yasser Khaseb and Iranian theater expert Farindokht Zahedi will attend New Delhi’s APB festival which will be held from January 3 to 9.
Khaseb will perform some short one-actor plays at the festival. Accompanied by his Crazy Body Troupe, he will also hold workshops.
Scholar Farindokht Zahedi will also hold an educational conference at the festival.
The seven-day festival will be held by New Delhi’s National School of Drama (NSD), which presides over the Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau of the UNESCO Chair (APB).
APB is the regional cell of UNESCO’s chair of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), a world theatre platform set up to promote international exchange of knowledge and practice in the domain of the performing arts and to promote world peace.
The participating countries include Singapore, Thailand, Shanghai, Beijing, Iran, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
