Iran will never forgive Britain’s malicious moves: Iranian senior MP
KHORRAMABAD, Jan. 2 (MNA) -- Iranian top legislator Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that the Iranian lawmakers will never forgive Britain’s malicious moves.
However, he said a cut of ties with this country requires the approval of the Majlis, he explained.
The move to cut diplomatic ties with Britain is undergoing legal processes, and the final approval must be made by the Majlis, Boroujerdi told reporters in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province on Saturday.
On December 19, the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee voted to completely cut relations with London. The decision was then submitted to the Majlis presiding board.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Boroujerdi said Britain has played a key role in the Security Council sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
