EARTHQUAKE SHAKES MANOKWARI ON TUESDAY
Jakarta, Aug 12 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale shook Manokwari, West Papua, on Tuesday, at 2.07 am Western Indonesian Time (WIB), but did not trigger a tsunami.
The earthquake's epicenter was located at 0.22 degrees southern latitude and 133.02 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 30 km below sea level, around 136 km northwest of Manokwari, according to information from the national meteorological and geophysics office here on Tuesday.
