BARITO ACQUIRES 77.92-PCT STAKE IN TRI POLYTA
Jakarta, Aug 12 (ANTARA) - Publicly listed PT Barito Pacific Timber (BRPT) has officially acquired a 77.92-percent stake in PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk (TPI) following the completion of TPI's tender offering, BRPT director Salwati Agustina said.
"TPI shareholders have sold 14,363,750 shares and BRPT has increased its ownership to 567,603,450 shares in TPI, or equivalent to 77.92 percent of the company's paid-in capital," Agustina said here on Tuesday.
BRPT is an integrated timber company owned by Prayogo Pangestu while Tri Polyta is a chemical industry firm whose shares are also partly owned by Pangestu.
