Kumayl Supplication to appear in 30 languages
TEHRAN, Feb.9 (MNA) -- The Al-Hoda International Publications will publish the translation of one of the most famous Shia prayers, Kumayl Supplication in thirty languages in the near future.
The supplication was previously translated in 15 languages, including English, German, Turkish, Azeri, French and Italian, the Al-Hoda International Publications Director Hushang Ali-Madadi told .
It will appear in more 15 languages including Pilipino, Kurdish, Georgian, Serbian and Croatian in near future, he added.
“The supplication was prevalent among Shias, but gradually it has permeated into other religions and we decided to translate it for Muslims and non-Muslims,” he said.
According to Allameh Majlesi,a renowned and very powerful Iranian Twelver Shi'a cleric during the Safavid era,Kumayl ibn Ziyad, a confidante of Imam Ali (AS) had attended an assembly in the Mosque at Basra which was addressed by Imam Ali (AS).
