Iranian, Turkish Presidents start official talks
Tehran, Feb 14, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Turkish counterpart President Abdullah Gul here on Monday started their official bilateral talks.
President Gul, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived here Sunday afternoon on a four-day visit at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart.
The Turkish president received an official welcome from President Ahmadinejad this morning.
Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi welcomed the Turkish president and his companions upon their arrival at the Mehrabad International Airport Sunday afternoon.
During his stay, President Gul is to confer with senior Iranian officials on expansion of mutual and regional ties as well as international developments.
The two Presidents are to attend a joint press conference later today./end
