Iran welcomes departure of British ambassador

TEHRAN, Feb.16(MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast commented on the news that the British Ambassador to Tehran, Simon Gass, has been appointed as the new NATO civilian representative in Kabul.

The spokesman said that he welcomes the move by the British government if it means London has started to change its hostile policy toward Iran.
