Iranian graffiti on display at Paris gallery

TEHRAN, Feb.16(MNA) -- Graffiti created by two Iranian artists, Parviz Ruzbeh and Mohammad Khodashenas, are currently on display at an exhibition in the Opera Gallery in Paris.

A group exhibit entitled “Graffcity” is currently underway at the gallery, which will run until February 25.

Artworks by renowned artists, including Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Blek le Rat, are on display at the exhibit.

“The general spirit of graffiti manifests the human being’s international condition”, Leyla Varasteh, consultant of the showcase, mentioned in the exhibit’s catalogue.

The Opera Gallery opened its doors in Singapore in 1994 at the initiative of Gilles Dyan.

Now, the Opera Gallery is represented in all of the world’s major art capitals: Paris (1994), New York (2000), Miami (2003), Hong Kong (2004) and London (2005) and Dubai (2008).
