Anti-sedition demos held in Iran
TEHRAN, Feb.19(MNA)-- Thousands of worshippers held rallies across the country after Friday prayers to condemn illegal anti-government demonstrations staged by the opposition on Monday, February 14.
In Tehran people who gathered to demonstrate “hatred” toward seditionists, also called for the execution of sedition leaders and urged the political figures who have not denounced the seditionists’ movements to break their silence and take unequivocal stances toward the recent incidents.
The demonstrators also read out a statement in which they called on the Judiciary to deal firmly and promptly with the seditionists, especially Mahdi Karroubi and Mirhossein Mousavi who had invited people to take to the streets on February 14.
The statement says that anti-government demonstrations were aimed at undermining the Islamic system and serving the enemies of Islam and the Islamic Revolution.
