Iran’s media delegation visits Chinese news agency

Beijing, Feb 19, IRNA – Iran’s visiting media delegation toured the headquarters of China’s state-run news agency, Xinhua, Saturday.

A delegation of officials from a group of the Iranian news agencies and newspapers are currently in the Chinese capital.

Officials from Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the Borna (Youth) news agency, Resalat newspaper and the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry’s Fund to protect Writers, Journalists and Artists began a week-long visit to China since February 14.

The delegation is headed by IRNA’s International News Director Ramazanali Yousefi.

Attending Xinhua’s newsroom, the Iranian media-men became acquainted with various stages of producing and publishing daily news by the Chinese media giant.

With an 80 year-long history in reporting, Xinhua has about 10,000 personnel and over 140 offices in different countries including Iran.

It also has a total of 24 newspapers and magazines and publishes its news in six different languages including English, French, Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Spanish.
