Iran will defend Lebanese nation against Zionists: Envoy
Beirut, Feb 20, IRNA – Islamic Republic of Iran ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, said on Saturday that the Iranian government will defend the Lebanese nation in the face of threats posed by the Zionist regime.
The Lebanese envoy made the remark in a ceremony commemorating the martyred commanders of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement.
'Iran has the message of friendship for all nations based on human relations aimed at materialization of justice, independence, freedom and human values,' Roknabadi added.
He went on to say that Lebanon's Islamic resistance movement has brought glorious and brilliant victories for the people of Lebanon.
'Bloods of martyrs of Hezbollah resistance movement such as Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Abbas Musevi and Emad Moghniyyah provided the Lebanese nation with a bright future,' Roknabadi further said./end
