Majlis speaker: US orders massacre of regional Muslims
Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA – Massacre of the people in Libya and Bahrain are taking place at the US order, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said Sunday.
Addressing Majlis’ open session, Larijani said that US officials should pay for their crimes against Muslims, referring to the violent crackdown of popular uprisings in regional states including Libya and Bahrain.
The Islamic Ummah believes that the US orders such criminal games, he reiterated.
“Despite claiming to be an advocate of democracy, US has, hypocritically, ordered regional autocratic regimes to adopt tough manners against their people,” Larijani said.
He suggested regional governments not to get involved in US “political confusion” and not to pay the price for protecting US military bases in the region.
Larijani also suggested regional governments to learn from their counterparts in Tunisia and Egypt and “side with their own people.”/end
