Passenger vessel sinks off Bandar Abbas, no passenger hurt
BANDAR ABBAS, Feb. 23 (MNA) – A vessel carrying 120 passengers sank off the southern port city of Bandar Abbas on Tuesday after striking the abandoned wreck of a sunken boat. No one was hurt in the incident.
The rescue workers managed to save all the passengers.
The vessel Yasin 110 which was bound for Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf hit the sunken boat shortly after leaving the Shahid Haqqani Harbor in Bandar Abbas.
The vessel’s owner has blamed the harbor’s officials for not removing the sunken boat from the route of vessels.
