Iran-Ecuador to expand parliamentary co-op

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and his Ecuadorian counterpart Fernando Cordero in Tehran on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding on expansion of parliamentary cooperation.

The two sides in the meeting also highlighted importance of exchange of information on issues of mutual interest, including parliamentary and legislation related subjects.

They also called for exchange of parliamentary delegations, implementation of the formerly reached accords in the fields of culture, economy, commerce, politics, and energy and exchange of technical and engineering services.

The two top parliamentarians also urged exchange of delegations comprising female MPs.

The Ecuadorian Speaker then thanked for warm hospitality of the Iranian side, inviting his Iranian counterpart to pay an official visit to his country./end
