Salehi: US-western countries' stands on recent developments self contradictory

Tehran, Feb 24, IRNA – Iran's foreign minister referring to Mideast developments said here Wednesday night US and western countries' stands on them showed contradictions in their deeds.
According to the Media and Information Head Office of Islamic Republic of Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted Ali Akbar Salehi as saying so in a meeting with the visiting Ecuadorian Parliament Speaker Fernando Cordero.
He added, 'Those countries did not show serious reactions towards getting killed of a large number of innocent citizens (in Egypt, Libya, Yemen…) but the realities would be clarified for regional peoples.'
Salehi elsewhere in his remarks referred to the good potentials for cooperation and the wills of the two countries' officials for broadening bilateral cooperation.
He added, 'The roles of the people's representatives at Iranian and Ecuadorian parliaments in further expansion of such ties is very important since they can pass laws to facilitate the broadening of relations in various fields.'
The Iranian top diplomat referred to the success of Iran in different scientific fields, announcing the Islamic Republic of Iran's readiness for comprehensive cooperation scientific with Ecuador in various fields, he said, 'Iran is meanwhile ready for cooperation in health, agricultural and academic fields with Ecuador.'
Ecuador Parliament Speaker Cordero, too, said in the meeting that the main objective of his visit is broadening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He added, 'The Government and Parliament of Ecuador both support strengthening and broadening comprehensive relations and cooperation with Iran.'
Cordero referred to Iran's capabilities in health, industries, and agricultural fields, asking for cooperation and experience sharing in those fields with his country./end
