TEHRAN, Feb. 26(MNA) – Iran`s security agents arrested a CIA spy and a member of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) in connection with the unrest in central Tehran on February 14, Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi announced.

“During the unrest on February 14, an MKO member carrying weapon and a person who had connections with the CIA were arrested by the intelligence forces,” Moslehi told on Tuesday night.

Anti-government protesters took to the streets in Tehran on February 14 and clashed with security forces who tried to disperse them. Two people were killed and dozens were injured in the clashes.

Moslehi stated that the arrested MKO member has several killings on record.

“The MKO members were attempting to smuggle him out of the country but the intelligence forces arrested him, and so far he has provided the intelligence forces with very good information,” he explained.

Moreover, a person who was linked to the CIA was arrested during the unrest on February 14, Moslehi stated.

“He was receiving information from the scenes of the riots through his men and was forwarding it to the CIA,” the minister explained.

“The intelligence forces had been keeping a close eye on him from a while ago and arrested him on Bahman 25 (February 14),” Moslehi said. “This person has Iranian nationality.”

On February 23, Moslehi announced that security forces have identified people behind the killing of Sane’ Jalleh who was killed during the unrest on February 14.

According to witnesses, Jalleh, and another victim, Mohammad Mokhtari, along with two other people were shot by rioters during the unrest. Jalleh succumbed to his injuries on the same day, and Mokhtari died on February 15.

Moslehi also said that the suspects had chosen their targets beforehand and preplanned the killing.
