A total of 69 tableaus are currently on display and each of them contains three or four artworks, she said.
Four Iranian cartoonists were among the winners whose works are currently on display at the gallery, she mentioned.
Cartoons by Peyman Rahimizadeh, Qasem Lotfi, Mohammad-Amin Aqaii and Shahrokh Heydari are among the artworks.
Satyrykon is a well-established festival with worldwide prestige, which has been confirmed by awarding it a grand prix badge by American magazine ”Witty World”, as well as receiving a maximum note of “5 stars” award by FECO (Federation of Cartoonists’ Organizations).
Initially, Satyrykon was a local event, but already in 1978 it was transformed into an all-Poland’s cartoon competition. For many years, Legnica was the first and only meeting place for Polish satire artists. Satyrykon has greatly contributed to the popularizing of the genre in Poland.
The contest is sponsored by the Embassy of Poland at the Vijeh Gallery which is located at No.5, 3rd Alley, Arabali Ave, off Khorramshahr St.
