Libyans in Japan call for end to bloodshed in Libya
TOKYO, Feb. 26 Kyodo -
Libyans living in Japan marched through the streets of Tokyo's Shibuya district Saturday calling for an end to bloodshed in Libya, where deadly crackdowns on antigovernment protestors are taking place.
More than 100 people, including Libyans, Tunisians and Egyptians, took part in the march, holding up signs with slogans such as ''Free Libya.''
Adel Suliman, a 23-year-old university student who arranged the demonstration, said Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has no choice but to leave his country, adding, ''No one can stop our desire to seek freedom which we have continued to keep inside ourselves for about 40 years.''
