Iran’s 11-month trade hits $87b

TEHRAN, Mar.2 (MNA) – Iran’s trade value reached some 87 billion dollars during the first eleven months of the current calendar year (ended February 19).

The Head of Iran’s Customs Administration Abbas Memarnejad said that, “Iran has exported some $29 billion worth of goods (including gas condensates) in the first eleven months of the current year which is 25 percent more than previous year’s figure.”

Iran exported some $23.8 billion worth of goods (excluding gas condensates) in the mentioned period.

“Iran also imported $58 billion worth of goods in the mentioned time span,” Memarnejad said.

The amount shows 18 percent increase compared to the corresponding period previous year.

According to the Iranian Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari the nation’s trade value stood at $150 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year.

Last year Iran exported $28.4 billion worth of non-oils and technical and engineering services, and $66.21 billion worth of oil and gas products. Iran’s imports also stood at $55 billion.
