SOMALI DEPUTY PM CALLS ON M'SIAN PM'S WIFE

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), Oct 19 (Bernama) -- Somali Deputy Prime Minister Mohamed Mohamud H. Ibrahim on Wednesday called on Malaysian Prime Minister's wfie Rosmah Mansor, patron of the Bakti and Putera 1Malaysia Club humanitarian mission to Somalia, at Seri Perdana (the Prime Minister's official residence) here. Mohamed, who is also Somali foreign minister, earlier handed over to Prime Minister Najib Razak a comprehensive report on the Sept 2 incident in Mogadishu which claimed the life of BernamaTV cameraman Noramfaizul Mohd Nor, 39. At the meeting with Najib, Mohamed conveyed his government's open apology to the people of Malaysia over the incident. Noramfaizul was killed by a stray bullet when covering the Bakti and Putera 1Malaysia Club humanitarian mission to help famine-struck Somalis. Bakti is the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers. (photoBERNAMA)
