Ahmadinejad: Nowrouz heralds promising future

Tehran, March 28, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that the ultimate message of Nowrouz is giving hope for promising future and overcoming all difficulties.
President Ahmadinejad made the remark in his key note speech at the 2nd Internatioanl Nowrouz Festival held at Vahdat Hall in Tehran this afternoon.
There is no doubt that through correct introduction of this divine value, all people around the globe would welcome the occasion, he said.
Men's winter is has ended and spring of humanity is now emerging, the Iranian president said, hoping that monotheism, justice and love would prevail in the entire world and there would be no sign of tyranny, discrimination, injustice and aggression.
The 2nd Internatioanl Nowrouz Festival began in Tehran in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and officials from foreign countries Sunday afternoon.
The Presidents of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Iraq along with representatives from 15 other states are also present in the celebrations at Vahdat Hall in Tehran.
Over 100 reporters, photographers and photo journalists from Iran and abroad cover the 2nd International Nowrouz Festival in Tehran.
The 1st International Nowrouz Festival was held in Iran on March 27, 2010, in the presence of President Ahmadinejad.
Nowrouz tradition was registered by UNESCO in 2010.
Annually, 300 million people across the world celebrate Nowrouz (literally meaning New Day) which marks the onset of spring and the New Iranian Year.
It is the most cherished festival celebrated by all Iranians, irrespective of race, religion, status or location./end
