Supreme Leader heralds new political developments in the region

Tehran, April 4, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Sunday that major political developments will take place in the region.

The Supreme leader made the remarks in a meeting with senior commanders of the armed forces.

The Supreme Leader said that Iran has overcome all the pressures exerted by the world arrogance over Iranian nuclear program.

The Supreme Leader said that the world arrogance employed all its political, propaganda and economic leverage over the past eight years to make Iran give up its nuclear program, but, the Islamic Iran overcame all the pressures.

Elsewhere in his address, the Supreme Leader pointed to the new political developments in the region and said that gracious events are underway in several states of the Middle East which are the outcome of resistance of the Iranian nation to the bullying powers.

The Supreme Leader said that reliance upon God's assistance and the divine belief, resistance to the bullying powers and long-term view are the key to success.

Referring to the impacts of the Islamic Revolution on the regional and international equations, the Supreme Leader said that almost all of the analysts in the world admit that the uprisings in the region are the outcome of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Describing the nuclear issue an example of the Iranian nation’s resistance to the world arrogance, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the arrogant powers used all in their power to make Iran stop its nuclear program.

The Supreme Leader stressed the need to promote the spirit of workmanship, liveliness and preparedness of the armed forces.
