Ahmadinejad: Enemy opposed to Islamic unity

Tehran, April 5, IRNA – President of Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday the Muslims shared enemy does not permit the Islamic countries to get united.
Speaking with a group of Iranian and foreign media reporters in his first press conference in the Iranian New Year, 1390, made the comment in response to a reporter’s question who had asked whether the unity of the Islamic countries can become a force to counter the western countries alliance against Libya?!
President Ahmadinejad added, “If the Islamic countries were united such problems would not have ever occurred, but the problem is that the enemies do not permit such a unity to take place and impose discord among the Muslims.”
He added, “Of course the intervention of NATO in Libya is the continuation of the Middle Ages’ slavery practice and it is clear that these countries have planned to launch an invasion against Libya and to plague it with the same disaster that they imposed against Afghanistan and Iraq, so noting has really changed.”
The president reiterated, “But I remind them once again they had better realize that this time the situation differs with the previous times. I recently talked with the UN Secretary General and I told him you have created an insecure region at our borders and in our region, as whose result the entire regional countries have been harmed, but you do not know what it means to be in the vicinity of an insecure region.”
He emphasized, “The NATO and the United States made a big stupidity by invading Libya because by doing so they have carried insecurity to their own borders. But how can they be sure that insecurity would not penetrate into the regions inside their territories?”
The president pointed out that the NATO-US invasion would throw them to the depth of an abyss, about which we are not worried, but the western countries would soon begin a baseless hue and cry over Iran’s intervention, but they are all doomed to distinction and I hereby assure you they are all doomed to distinction and this is the last wheel of the colonialist era.”
Ahmadinejad described the western forces’ invasion against Libya as a silly act, arguing, “Be sure the people of this region will not spread the red carpet under their feet just because on pretext of toppling the Libyan government they have got engaged in a military invasion in that country and have even entered a region whose people have a logn record of hevey combat against the colonialists.”
The president of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that such militarist policies are aimed at saving the capitalist system and the Zionist regime, arguing, “In order to do so they put at stake the lives and the wealths of the nations undet the fire of their missiles and their wheels of their tanks, assuming that there is no savior in this world, while that savir would in near future chack them up for their committed crimes properly.”/end
