Azerbaijan, France discuss legal cooperation
Baku, April 9 (AzerTAc). Visiting Baku to attend the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue former French Justice Minister and deputy of the European Parliament Rashida Dati has met with Azerbaijan Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov on Friday.
Azeri minister stressed the development of cooperation on judicial sphere between Azerbaijan and France. He highlighted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev-led judicial, justice, in particular, penitentiary reforms aroused keen interest in Europe.
Ms. Dati praised reforms on judicial field and stressed the necessity of improvement of this sphere. She said that France is interested in legal cooperation with Azerbaijan.
The sides exchanged views on human rights, activity of administrative courts and other issues of mutual interest.
Azerbaijan ambassador to France Elchin Amirbayov attended the meeting.
