IAEA has not provided exact data about nuclear dangers in Japan

Tehran, April 10, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the International Atomic Energy Agency has not provided the member states with exact information about the nuclear dangers happened following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Addressing the fifth national nuclear technology festival, he criticized double-standard policy of the West regarding the nuclear technology and said that Bushehr Power Plant has not yet become operational that they have earlier brought baseless allegations against Iran.
He pointed out that the advancement of a nation is not possible without science and technology.
“The science which turns into technology will be effective in the life of the nations,” he said, noting that science sheds light on the way of the nations and they can dominate the nature and use the potentials in the nature.
Describing Iran’s technological achievements in the past four or five years as remarkable, President Ahmadinejad said that conquering nuclear peaks amounts to injecting a huge energy to the country’s science and technology.
Lauding Iranians’ independence and self-confidence, he said that the enemies wanted to take science and technology away from the country.
When a nation does not have these two, what does it have and where it heads for? he asked.
All know that the Iranian nation is an undefeatable nation and if it decides to take an action, no power in the world can prevent it, the President said.
He addressed the nuclear experts and said that the Iranian nation waits to hear new achievements in the field of nuclear industry day by day./end
