Western efforts to hijack Muslim world uprisings, condemned
Islamabad, April 11, IRNA - Speakers on Sunday strongly condemned Western efforts to hijack the glorious popular movements in the Muslim world, adding that all efforts to suppress these uprisings would fail.
Speaking at a seminar on “Awakening of the Muslim world” they said movements in Arab countries reflect the spirit and aspirations of Ummah’. The seminar was organized by Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM) at Jamia Al-Sadiq.
Allama Amin Shaheedi Secretary General of Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM) expressing his views said that uprisings in Muslim world are inspired by Iran’s Islamic Revolution.
He said that a new Middle East would be created which would be free of the United States and Israel.
Allama Amin Shaheedi strongly condemned landing of foreign troops in Bahrain terming it as a brutal act. He also accused west especially US of pursuing policy of double standards against Muslim nations.
Allama Haider Ali Jawadi speaking on the occasion said that US is trying to light the fire of sectarianism in Muslim countries to divide Ummah.
“The US itself is a terrorist state”, he alleged. Religious scholar believed that every effort to hijack glorious popular movements in the Muslim world would fail. He added that the US is implanting agents to spoil the uprisings. “The US is the follower of Abu Lahab”, he noted.
Another speaker Hassan Raza Naqvi said that recent uprisings in Muslim world have roots in Islamic Revolution of Iran. “The Iranian nation's voice has resonated through Muslim countries, resulting in the Tunisia revolution and the Egypt uprising”, he said.
The speaker said that people of Arab world were tired of dictatorships. “They wanted freedom of expression and Islamic rule”, he added. He advised Muslim Ummah to remain vigilant against Western conspiracies.
Maulana Sahfqat Shirzai said that US and some western nations have become helpless in the face of freedom-seeking Bahraini people and noted that defeat awaits them in Libya also.
He expressed concern over foreign military invasion of Bahrain and warned against the repercussions of such move.
He said that the anti-Islam policies of despotic rulers of Muslim nations have forced the people to come on streets. He regretted that many Arab states helped Israel against innocent people of Palestine.
During the seminar audience chanted slogans against America.
