Three Kuwaiti diplomats to be deported from Iran

Tehran, April 11, IRNA -- An Iranian Foreign Ministry official confirmed on Sunday that three Kuwaiti diplomats have been enlisted for expulsion from the Islamic Republic of Iran and they have been given a 10-day deadline to leave the country.

The retaliatory measure of expulsion of Kuwaiti diplomats from Iran takes place in reaction to a similar measure by the Kuwaiti government in expelling four Iranian diplomats from that country.

The Kuwaiti diplomats to be expelled have been named as Mohammed al-Hajeri, Salem al-Mashari and Talal al-Dik.

Some Iranian Foreign Ministry sources said that a fourth Kuwaiti diplomat might also be expelled from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Based on unfounded allegations of cooperation between four Iranian diplomats with an espionage network in Kuwait, the Kuwaiti government enlisted four Iranian diplomats for expulsion from Kuwait after summoning Iran's charge d'affaires in Kuwait to Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry./end
