Saudi accusation against Iran, made on US behest: Indian Politician

New Delhi, April 12, IRNA – The latest accusation leveled by Saudi Government against Iran for its alleged interference in Bahrain was made on the behest of the US, an Indian leader told IRNA Tuesday in the Indian capital.
Speaking exclusively to the Iran's state news agency, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Delhi Mateen Ahmed said: “Iran is neither interfering in Bahrain’s internal matters nor dest it want to cultivate any political mileage from the situation. But, what it is doing, is just extending moral support to the suppressed people of the country. And that moral support, Iran is extending not only to people of Bahrain but to all the oppressed people around the globe, is based on the basic tenets of the Islamic Revolution.'
“As the US is adept in the game of accusation and fabrication, it has now adopted a new tool to grow the differences among Muslims who are more united now after the victory of the Islamic Revolution. And this new tool is being used through a Muslim country, Saudi Arabia, Mateen regretted.
Expressing grave concern over the continued repression in Bahrain and Yemen, the Indian politician lashed out at the US backed intervention forces who have become involved in crushing suppressed people who were just demanding their due democratic rights.
Mateen added that the mass protests in Muslim countries have not taken a sectarian character so far, but the monarchies on the behest of their backers wanted to give it to sectarian colour which is a shameful and a condemnable act.
Stressing the need for the self retrospection by all Muslim countries around the globe, the Indian politician cautioned them against US plans which was for decades utilizing puppet monarchies to grab their natural resources.
He stressed that unity among Muslim countries was the only way to defeat hegemonic policies of the US./end
