Baku, April 13 (AzerTAc). “Construction of the countryside roads is of special importance along with other projects relating to regions,” said President Ilham Aliyev at the Cabinet of Minister`s meeting on outcomes of the socio-economic development in first quarter 2011.
The President stressed that investment was provided for these projects and new roads were constructed in the various regions.
According to the Head of State, “I attended the inauguration of those roads. Those roads connect thousands of people and hundreds of countries. Construction of new infrastructure both boosts development of regions and serves for welfare of the people. I think considerable amount of additional investment should be provided for construction of the countryside roads”.
President Ilham Aliyev said that there are several proposals put forward stressing that construction of the roads connecting bigger settlements should be priority.
“Of course, reconstruction or rehabilitation of ruined roads must be taken into consideration too. Because there are mostly unpaved roads not only in the regions, but also in the settlements and countries of Baku. And this is an unbearable situation”.
