‘Roundtable’ on changing balance in Middle East held in Baku
Baku, April 16 (AzerTAc). The Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijan President (SAM) hosted Friday a “roundtable meeting” on “Changing balance in the Middle East region”.
The meeting was opened by SAM`s deputy director Gulshan Pashayeva who briefed the participants on the issues to be discussed.
CEO of the Stratfor Global Intelligence Center George Friedman and editor-in-chief of “Russia in global policy” magazine Fyodor Lukyanov made presentations at the meeting.
They highlighted the role of the Middle East in international relations and the recent developments in the region.
The event brought together officials of the Presidential Administration, Foreign Ministry, MPs, representatives of the diplomatic corps and experts in regional and international relations.
