Azerbaijan Parliament`s Speaker meets head of European parliamentary delegation to Euronest
Baku (AzerTAc) - Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament, Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov has met today head of the European parliamentary delegation to Euronest, Kristian Vigenin.
Asadov said relations between Azerbaijan and European Union was developing successfully. He added official Baku was interested in expansion of relations with the Organization. “We believe that Vigenin`s visit will contribute to boosting our relationship even more.”
The Speaker noted Azerbaijan has been rapidly integrating into Europe since the country regained independence. “We have established close relations with international organizations, including EU and our relations reached the level of bilateral cooperation in the last ten years.”
Asadov also noted a group was operating in Milli Majlis on development of relations with Euronest.
Vigenin, in turn, delivered European Parliament`s greetings to Asadov. He praised Azerbaijan`s relations with EU and European Parliament. Vigenin also added he would place special emphasis on development of relations with Azerbaijan after Euronest launches operation.
