Book center opened in Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy
Baku, April 23 (AzerTAc). A book center was opened on Friday at Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). On the occasion of the opening, the ADA also hosted the 1st International Cultural Festival. Chief of the Presidential Administration`s department for socio-political affairs Ali Hasanov, ambassadors and other officials attended the ceremony.
Addressing the event, deputy Foreign Minister and rector of ADA, Professor Hafiz Pashayev said all newly published books will be brought to the Academy`s Center. He also highlighted the importance of the International Cultural Festival describing it as part of public diplomacy.
Azerbaijan minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said the Center is valuable contribution not only to students of the Academy, but also to all book lovers.
Stands of embassies of 17 countries were launched at the center demonstrating books, magazines, brochures, photos about each country`s history and culture.
National dance ensembles of numerous countries performed in the event.
