Iran, Syria Hold Joint Nanotechnology Workshops
TEHRAN , April 25 (FNA)- Iran held a number of educational workshops on nanotechnology in Syria from April 3 to 6, 2011 in a bid to promote Tehran's regional and international cooperation in the field.
Six prominent Iranian university professors gave lectures on the applications of nanotechnology and management of nanotechnology development during these workshops held with the attendance of the Syrian professors and universities presidents.
Dr. Moshfeq and Dr. Taqavi-nia from Sharif University of Technology, Dr. Kharrazi from IPM, Dr. Saber from Nanosystem Pars, Dr. Sarkar and Dr. Beitollahi from Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council attended to represent Iran and discussed the workshops topics.
Considering the reception given by the Syrian president to Iran's efforts in nanotechnology, it seems beneficial that such workshops will be held to enhance the Iranian researchers' capabilities and exchange information within the nanotechnology scope.
An exhibition of Iran's advanced achievements in nanotechnology ran in Syria in response to the request made by the Syrian president in the past.
