CIS Council of Plenipotentiaries to meet in Minsk
Baku, April 25 (AzerTAc). The CIS Council of Plenipotentiary Representatives in the CIS main bodies are set to meet in Minsk on 26 April to discuss the issues of cooperation in migration policy, according to press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The participants of the meeting will take stock of the progress made in the implementation of a comprehensive plan of overriding measures aimed at putting into practice the fundamental principles of the Declaration on the CIS Coordinated Migration Policy.
The provisions of the comprehensive plan contributed to the implementation of an array of events to combat illegal migration and regulate labor migration. The CIS bodies took part in different international conferences and seminars highlighting migration issues. Competent bodies of the CIS member states continued vigorous cooperation in retraining and enhancing qualifications of the personnel engaged in migration issues.
