Tajik Envoy: Iran’s comprehensive advancement, our pride

Mash’had, April 26, IRNA – Tajikistan Republic Ambassador to Tehran said here Monday Iran’s comprehensive advancement in various dimensions makes us happy, is our pride.
Ali Hatamev made the complimentary comment Monday night in a meeting with the Governor General of Khorasan-e-Razavi Province in Mash’had referring to his recent visits of the facilities and provided potentials for industrial investments in various parts of Iran.
“Iran and Tajikistan have high religious, political, cultural, social, and economic potentials for expansion of and these potentials need to be employed at the service of strengthening the bilateral relations maximally,” Hatamev added.
The Tajik diplomat also said, “Iran and Tatarstan have shared roots and civilizations in religious, cultural, and social fields, and must expand their bilateral ties and cooperation comprehensively.”
Hatamev reiterated, “Both the president of Tatarstan and our government emphasize the need for improving the level of interactions between the two countries comprehensively and the officials need to do all they can to materialize that objective.
“Tajikistan Republic’s National Parliament, too, four days ago ratified a bill on improving the level of bilateral ties between the two friendly and brother countries,” Hatamev added.
The Governor General of Khorasan-e-Razavi Mahmoud Salehi, too, in the meeting referred to the various potentials of Iran, particularly those of Khorasan Province that can be facilitated at the service of boosting ties with Tatarstan. Salehi stated, “we are interested in expansion of relations and cooperation with the Central Asian countries, and the Persian language speaking nations, particularly with the brother Tajik nation.”
Salehi proposed dispatching an economic delegation comprised of activists and officials from the province in the economic field to Tajikistan commissioned to study the grounds for ever more expansion of bilateral ties more than ever before to Dushanbe, followed by the visit of a similar Tajik delegation of Khorasan Province.
He noted that the existence of over 5,500 industrial and mining units in Khorasan-e-Razavi Province is all by itself a very appropriate potential for boosting the two countries’ economic ties.
Governor General Salehi asked the Tajik Ambassador to see into the implementation of the Iranian First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi’s recent visit of Tajikistan Republic in various fields, including the formerly signed memoranda of understanding etc.
He said, “Iran’s efforts are aimed at expansion and strengthening of relations with the neighboring countries, including Tajikistan and assisting them in their economic development to an extent that they would no longer be in need of assistance and contributions from the European countries and the United States. “
The top provincial official reiterated, that the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution has in an order to President Ahmadinejad emphasized the need for expansion of comprehensive cooperation with Tajikistan.
He added, “The regional countries, including Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and Iraq must keeping in mind their respective populations establish a 500 million strong regional market and try doubly for the expansion of economic interaction more than ever before to counter the effects of the bad international economic conditions.”
Deputy Governor General of Khorasan-e-Razavi in Development Affairs, Sa’eid Hosseinpour, too, who was also present at the meeting said that the economic relations between the two regional republics at vast, adding, “Various types of goods, including cement is exported to Tajikistan from this province currently.”
He added, “During the course of the past year and as of the begging of the current (Iranian) year (1390, began on March 20th) some 700 train wagon loads of various types of goods have been exported to the Central Asian countries from Khorasan-e-Razavi Province, among which cement has had a special status.’
The deputy governor also said that good moves have been made aimed at importing meat and live kettles from Tajikistan, and this trade is in need of qualitative and quantitative expansion presently./end
