SOCAR President receives BP CEO
Baku, April 28 (AzerTAc). President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Rovnag Abdullayev has received a delegation led by BP Chief Executive Officer Robert Dudley.
Mr. Abdullayev said exploration work within the contract on exploration of “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli”, “Shah Daniz” fields, development and production sharing on the prospective "Shafag-Asiman" block in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea was conducted in accordance with the prescribed plan.
Mr. Dudley spoke about successful cooperation between the two companies.
During the meeting, the sides discussed preparation work of the second phase of development of “Shah Daniz” field, expected perspectives, transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, cooperation opportunities between SOCAR and BP in the projects carried out in foreign countries.
The President of SOCAR noted the contract signed between the sides, had already been recommended to be ratified by the Parliament of Azerbaijan. The SOCAR President expressed confidence that the document would be ratified soon.
