Iranian Students, Teachers Condemn Saudi, Bahraini Regimes' Ceaseless Crimes

TEHRAN, May 2 (FNA)- Iranian school students and teachers in a statement on Sunday voiced their strong protest against the Saudi and Bahraini rulers' crackdown on peaceful protests and massacre of the defenseless people in Bahrain.
"We condemn the aggression and genocide (against people in Bahrain) which is rooted in the racist thoughts of the Zionists and call for rapid action by all international institutions to prevent continuation of such violent behaviors," the statement said.

The Iranian students and teachers also deplored the betrayal and silence of certain Arab leaders on the crimes committed against the Bahraini people, and underlined that such Arab rulers are accomplices of the Al-Khalifa regime in suppressing the people in the tiny Persian Gulf state.

They also underlined their support for the Bahraini Muslims and prayed for the annihilation of all enemies of Islam and victory of the Muslims against them.

Iranians from all walks of life have staged numerous rallies during the last few weeks to shout their support for popular uprisings in the Middle-East and North Africa and to condemn suppression of peaceful protests by dictatorial regimes in the region.

Demonstrators in Bahrain have been demanding constitutional reforms as well as an end to the 230-year-old monarchy, with hundreds camping out peacefully in the capital's Pearl Square since February 14th.

Bahraini security forces have been brutally suppressing anti-government protesters. So far, at least 40 people have been killed, almost 100 have gone missing and about 1,000 others have been injured.

The violence against protesters escalated when Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar dispatched their armed forces to the country to help Manama crack down on peaceful protesters.
