President Stresses Iran's Strong Opposition to Arrogant Powers, Zionism
TEHRAN, May 2(FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad underlined the Islamic establishment's continued opposition to the tyrannical powers and brutal regimes such as the Zionist regime of Israel.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting here in Tehran on Sunday evening, President Ahmadinejad said, "We are against the foundations of arrogance and Zionism ideologically and logically."
He further ensured the Iranian nation that he would continue confrontation with the arrogant powers and the Zionist regime of Israel.
"I will move on the path of Vellayat (religious leadership) and against arrogance and Zionist regime until the end of my life," he reiterated.
In March, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei pointed to the popular uprisings in the region, and stressed that the recent events in the region herald imminent demise of the arrogant powers and change in the world equations in the near future.
"Not only corrupted and despotic rulers but the United States and other world powers with an aggressive nature will finally suffer a defeat by nations and God's promises will come true," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with head and members of Iran's Experts Assembly.
