Iran, Turkey ministers discuss issues of mutual interest


Iran's Energy Minister Majid Namjoo, who was in Istanbul Tuesday to attend the second International Water Meeting, discussed issues of mutual interset with Turkey's Environment and Forestry Minister Veysel Eroglu.


In the meeting, in which Iran's Consul General in Istanbul Mahmoud Heydari was present too, Namjoo, by referring to a number of projects in Iran concerning management of water resources, underlined development of bilateral and regional cooperation and exchanging experiences between Iran and Turkey.
Eroglu, by welcoming development of mutual cooperation, said issues like management of water resources, wind and dust are among common grounds for bilateral cooperation and underlined continuation of visits between officials and technical experts of both countries.
Namjo, heading a high ranking delegation, arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday morning to attend the meeting.
His visit is upon an invitation of Veysel Eroglu, who is in charge of the water meeting.
The Iranian minister is to meet with his Turkish counterpart Taner Yildiz in Ankara.
